Printing process flow

Mar 18, 2023

Different types of materials, labels for different uses, and the process of using them are also different.

The universal label printing machine is a multifunctional device, and the processing technology can be developed according to customer requirements.

The self-adhesive label printing process is as follows:

(1) expand

AIntermittent: There is no tension change when the web rolls, and no adjustment is required.

Application of flat, circular pressure flat labeling machine, the speed of the roll is slower.

Since this type of equipment does not have a paper positioning and deviation correction device, it is necessary to clean the paper end to ensure accurate printing.

B continuous type: suitable for circular rotary labeling machines.

As the paper tension changes when the diameter of the paper roll changes, this equipment is equipped with an automatic or manual tension control mechanism and a roll deviation correction device to ensure the smoothness of the paper and the printing quality.

(2) hot stamping

Flattening: apply flattening flattening labeling machine, low speed.

Round press round: suitable for round press round label printing machine, fast speed, continuous hot stamping, rarely used, generally use gold printing process instead of hot stamping.

(3) printing

Flat pressing: suitable for small area, simple pattern printing, such as price tags, barcodes, etc.

Circular printing machine: suitable for field, general graphic label printing, simple color screen printing.

The circular pressure ring is suitable for printing various graphic labels, especially for high-grade color mesh label printing.

UV printing: The above three printing methods, plus UV drying, can print film adhesive materials.

(4) burn gold first and then print

On non-uv drying equipment, plain ink is used, and the disadvantage is that the printing design is limited.

(5) Printing first and then ironing

Applied on UV clothes dryer equipment, the ink after hot stamping is quickly dried and then inked, and any design pattern of hot stamping is not limited by ink. It is suitable for high-end label printing. It is an advanced production process.

(6) Glazing

Spotlight: Coating a layer of varnish on the surface of the ink, the purpose is to protect the ink layer, moisture-proof, waterproof and improve the surface gloss. It can replace the composite film process and adopt UV drying method.

(7) Composite film

Paper or film material lamination, protect ink, waterproof, moisture-proof, increase label strength, increase pattern

three-dimensional sense.

Composite film is divided into paper composite film and paperless composite film, which are widely used because of low cost.

According to the process requirements, there are two kinds of composite transparent film and matt film, the former is more common.

(8) Punching

It is not widely used and is mainly used for computer printing labels.

The requirement is that the tag should be positioned with drive holes on both sides of the label, or the label attached to the price tag needs to be driven with a hole in the middle of the label.

(9) Die cutting

Self-adhesive label die-cutting is a half-cut process, that is, only the surface material is cut, and the bottom paper is reserved.

There are two types of processing:

Such as flat die-cutting, suitable for various label printing machines, manual plate making, low cost, short cycle, but low viscosity, suitable for short-run printing processing.

At present, almost all domestic label factories adopt flat mode.

The other is circular die-cutting, which is equipped with round-pressing round label equipment, which has high speed and high die-cutting viscosity, and is suitable for long-run jobs. The disadvantage is that the printing cost is high and the cycle is long.

At present, the die-cutting rollers of domestic manufacturers are generally processed abroad.

(10) Delivery

Can be divided into paper-cut and origami.
